Where to get a new Engine?

Does anyone know where [a website] i can get an engine for a 4g63 6 bolt engine that could fit into a 97 Eclipse GSX? The only ones i see are extremely over priced.

Re: Where to get a new Engine?

Go to roadraceengineering.com website and they have links to companies that have good motors for sale. Depending on the area, of course. Most of them are in california, but I found a company 30 miles away from me here in ohio.

Re: Where to get a new Engine?

On the east coast, SBR builds great motors. I would personally jsut try to find a stock low mileage (100k or so) 1g 6 bolt motor and toss that bitch in. There isnt much advantage to a jdm motor, not enough to justify the price they often ask. Also keep in mind no 6 bolt regardless of where it comes from is going to just drop into a 2g. Be sure to read and reread the pages at magnus motorsports.

Exclamation Motor

I know one place that hasn't caused me trouble if you willing to have a 1G swap its well worth the price. Check here for a Mitsubishi 4G63 motor that comes with forged internals and bulletproof transmission. Its a bargain at 1,399 which almost 2,000 grand with shipping and keep in mind these are brand new engines compared to the heap of junk I bought from other dealers. These guys are the best.
Check them out here....http://www.totaljdm.com/?id=40320
