Question ass end sounds like the shocks are falling off

Last year I purchased a 93 LX T-Bird and noticed the rear of the car when I hit a bump in the road it sounds like the shocks are loose, (checked and OK) and I am now thinking it may be some bushings in the rear end since it has the independent rear suspension.
Any other suggestions ?

it could be just bad shocks.i had the same prob. in my 88. i replaced the shocks, and it was gone. ur shocks arent loose. they are just bad.. look for fluid coming out around the shock. if there is, they're bad.

My '93 LX 5.0 has done the same thing: did it when it was still pretty new, Ford replaced the rear shocks under warranty and the problem went away. Now it's back but at least I know where to look.

It's due for shocks and struts: would like to know what others have installed on theirs? Wouldn't hurt my feelings any to firm the thing up a little.

After all this time I thought it was bushings and all it was, was a pair of shocks. All that replied ..... Thanks !
