Looking for folks that are already modding there 04 Silverados.

I've had mine ('04 Extended cab 1500 flareside, 5.3) for 12 days now and have done:

Alpine 7895 CD head unit, 60W X 4
Sony 6.5" 3 ways in front doors
Kenwood 4X6 3 way in rear doors
HID-lookalike headlight bulbs
Fog lights (were not stock)
VentVisors (front and rear windows)

I have on order a Gibson Extremdual exhaust, and will shortly be ordering the K&N 77 series intake and the velocity stack for the throttle body made by some company I can't think of right now...

That'll be it for a while. I commute 80 miles round trip everyday and am seeing 18MPG with only 1000 miles on the engine so far, so I'm looking forward to maybe getting around 20 or 21 once I have the intake and exhaust mods on. I was only getting 20-21 in my 2002 4.3L S-10 so to get the same mileage in a fullsize with a V8 would be sweet!

I feel ya on the Fuel Economy. I've had mine for a week and did the lift right away. I'll be getting the Exhaust today. Going with a Flowmaster 50 Series Big Block II.
How much did that audio setup set you back? Sounds like a nice system.
I love my truck so far.

I got the alipne on sale from Crutcfield last year for my S-10, was $299 I think. I just picked up the speakers from Best Buy, the Sony's were $69.99 on sale and the Kenwoods were $62.99. I haven't installed the Kenwoods yet, I might exchange them for Sony's, the fronts sound awesome.

I also have a Rockford Punch 700S amp and a pair of JL Audio 12's, but they're in a large box that I had in the back of my S-10 extended cab and since I need to actually use the back seat in the silverado I need to do something else with them. I'm probably going to build an enclosure that fits under the seats, but I'll have to sell off the JL's and get new speakers since the JL's need like 1.5 cu ft, and the most I'll be able to get under the seats is 1 cubic foot each if I'm lucky.

Re: How many Modded 04's out there?

Debadged/demolded, T-Rex Billet Grill, Flowmaster 40 series, GM low profile bug deflector (took it off due to hood shake), Spray-in liner under rails, Bed mat on my 2003 Silverado. Of course more in mind, but no money in hand...lol

Bought mine last Monday. Already put on Westin nerf bars, a carpet bedliner, tint, and widow shades. Next week the 5" Pro Comp lift goes on. As well as the 17x8.5" EVO Velocity 6 wheels and 33*12.5" Pro Comp All-terrains. And a billet grill. Shortly after that my stereo upgrade is going in. I'm installing a set of CDT-HD62 components in the doors powered by an old school RF Punch 150HD which will also power my 12" sub. I'm putting in some RF SPL4 4x6" plates in the rear doors and they will be powered by an old school RF Punch 75HD. A Phoenix gold x-over will be added as well. That should sound really nice IMO. I like the stock head unit (6 disc, XM, etc..) so I will keep it.
I'm also going to put a drop in K&N filter and then get the truck tuned via LS1 edit. Then I will be done.
