maybe you have heard of this?
A guy at work mentioned this to me the other day and tried it himself. He visited his lhs and was told a good and easy way to get a shine out of his plastic models. He was told to spray Pledge on a soft towel or paper towel and rub the model after applying a clear coat. He tried it and brought the model in, I didn't believe that it would work, but he brought the car into work and man that thing was smooth to the touch and shiny as heck. Plus it got some excess glue that he had on the car that he thought he was going to have to sand off and reclear, but he didn't, it got it right off with no damage. Have any of you ever heard of doing this?

Whoa, sounds really good. Sounds like a worth a try on one of my scrap model bodies. I wonder what will happen if there isn't a clear coat.

I don't know what will happen if there is no clear coat on the model, but you maybe you could give it a whirl on some scrap model that was dropped or something, I know that we all have that model that was bad ass and then was dropped, and let us know. I have one, I will try if someone else will so that we have more than one opinion. As for ruining the car, YES IT CAN, so be careful doing it. Use it sparingly and do not spray directly onto the model itself. Pledge has a chemical in it that can actually melt the car, ouch there goes another one down the drain, is what you will be saying if that happens.
