engine swap or transmission

I wanna know wut would be cheaper, buying a 4g63 or gettin a transmission switch cause i got a automatic gs. Is there a place where you can buy or get information on how to do a swap or how much each of them would be? Also i got another question, i got my catalatic converter gutted good or bad thing? thx for help.

It would all depend on how much you get the transmission for. You will also need more than just the transmission to make it fit.

The gutted cat is good cause it alows more flow, but it also raises your tail pipe emissions. But if you can pass without it go for it.
