01 Dealer Tease Brochure w/metal cover $200.00 + ship

I have for sale a very unique Thunderbird “launch” brochure/book.

In the late 90’s when it was announced that Ford Motor Company was going to produce this awesome redesigned/recreated T-Bird for the new century, my employer was awarded the contract to produce the showroom brochure.

As one of the photo-artists and color experts, a small group of us worked feverishly for two solid months to produce the final printed brochure months before the public ever saw one.

Upon completion of the printed regular brochure, it was requested that the ad agency handling this particular account also produce a 'catchy' dealer showroom “tease” selector brochure/book to bait potential customers; complete with the same gorgeous photos and images of the regular brochure (though somewhat much larger format) different in that the cover be made of heavy gauge metal – 3/8" aluminum (with a screened image of the signature port-hole window) with a real glass port-hole window actually die-cut into the cover itself.

The book is indeed quite heavy.

The cover binding being assembled with removable screws to hold the book together, the book also has a very cool hard jacket (finished with a faux leather like texture) with the Thunderbird script embossed onto the front.

I have never seen another and I have no idea if others were produced like this. In the last 4 years of searching eBay, I have never, ever seen one. This was not sold in any bookstore.

This would make a great conversation piece or coffee table-style book for a Thunderbird
collector.

The condition of this book is near mint and it has been displayed.

There are a few lite flea-bite scratches/scuffs and one small 1” crease on a velum cover sheet.

These do not in any way detract the magnificent appearance of this truly one-of-a-kind book.

I am asking $200.00 for this book plus the shipping. I accept only US Postal money orders.
