Re: LS Performance chips

If it sounds too good to be true...it is. Run the other way. NOTHING is cheap for the LS!

Excellent point. I was just wondering if anyone out there had actually tried these things. Is there any way to signifigantly increase power in an LS?

Re: LS Performance chips

Supercharging and turbos are on the drawing boards. No "chips" yet; the LS doesn't actually use a chip anyway, you would have to either go to a shop to have it flashed or swap out the whole thing...once they actually figure out the code. Existing intake and exhaust mods will add around 20 rwhp. I know a couple guys running nitrous. One has a V8 with ~100hp nozzles and the other has a V6 manual with ~50hp nozzles. I also know a guy who had some head and cam work done and saw SIGNIFICANT increases, however he cracked a head in the process.

Re: LS Performance chips

Yeah I don't want to do anything that might cause my engine to.... well explode at an unforseen time. What kind of a change does having the computer reflashed do? Also, what intake and exhaust mods are best to perform?

Re: LS Performance chips

The PCM controls..well...everything. Once somebody makes a programmer or offers a flashing service, ther will be no limit to the changes that could be made. You name it. Shift points, timing, mixture, shift pressure, curves, everything. It's close...

Intake kit from www.llsoc.com and free-flowing catback exhaust like Magnaflow or Borla. If you're handy, you can add ram-air to the LLSOC kit with some ducting, sheetmetal, and rivets.

Re: LS Performance chips

That sounds pretty serious. How much does flashing cost and how signifigant are the results?

There's nobody doing it...yet. Word around the campfire is that they're close...
