ok i went to pick up my little brother from school the other day and when i pull up and park i looked around for him and this red civic caught my eye... and i went and checked it out and it said RS on it and i thought RS?? whats that and the guy who owns the car is super rich and its a pretty nice ass car but i still have no clue what RS means he didnt tell me but im gonna try to get some pictures within the week if i can find my camera but, what does RS stand for... and also i talked to my friend about it and he told that they are only sold in japan but i dunno so can someone plz clarify about this?...

What gen was it? I've never heard of a RS but I may be incompetent also. It could stand for Really Shitty? or Red Stupidass? J/K but i'm almost positivley sure that a RS doesn't exist. Unless it's the 290hp Civic Type Rs featured in Honda Tuning from the BTCC circut. RIIIIIGHT!

its not the 1974 RS, i think its a 2000-01 i dont really know but the car is super clean. i dunno i gotta get some pictures and post them... and i just looked it up and i think that RS stands for rally sport i dont know and the guy who told me it was imported just told me that its 4w drive but i dunno about that... im just kinda confused right now... ill talk to the guy next time i see him

come on do you honestly think i wouldn't know that there is no such thing as a Civic RS? well those two RS's are real RS's and they do exist. but there is no civic RS. just wondering. does the badge look like a RSX badge with the X missing? cuase if it does, then thats the answer to your question right there.

1. Not knowing about an obscure foreign market car is not "hopelessly uninformed"... MAYBE it would be if the car was something cool or exciting, but not for a crappy Civic with a factory body kit...

2. I doubt the guy he talked to spent the money to import a Civic RS since, looking at the page linked, it is NOTHING special and not worth the trouble. So all of our comments about putting different embles stand true.

3. Even if he DID import a real one, it's still not 4wd like the guy said it was, so our comments about that also stand true.

4. I know looks are an opinion, but I think it's a very common and plain looking car, certainly not "beautiful". Just looks like another Civic...

5. The car comes with, what, 130hp? It's gonna need a whole lot of "set up" to "rape" ANYTHING. It's probably, what, like a 16 second car? Yeah, not much room to brag there buddy.

6. And your 220whp 9psi car is SURE as hell not gonna be showing ME any taillights. And I'm running on zero pounds of boost...

In conclusion - Civic RS, slow, plain looking, and owned by douchebags. Maybe this is why nobody here had ever heard of it, cuz it's not worth talking about
