Thumbs down Oh noooo armorall on guage face

When my gf was helping me clean my car she sprayed armorall on the guage face ( clear plastic thing over your gauges, not sure what its called ) and it looks like it melted the plastic or something where it touched. Anyone know where I can get a new one of these plastic peices and or what the name of the peice is ?

it should be called something like gauge cluster face if that helps at all. i dont think armorall would melt it though.

Armorall is solvent based & will discolor clear plastic. First thing I'd try is Meguiars two part plastic polish. No luck there, time to make you g/f run to a junkyard & get the part you need.

Spray the dressing on an applicator or towel*

Yea my sis was begging for money once, I told her to clean my 94' Cougar RX7. Couldn't see the cluster at night anymore. Have to be really careful with that plastic.

One more thing I forgot to add . . . .Armorall is about the WORST choice when it comes to interior dressing. Since it is solvent based, if not used on a normal basis the panels will crack sooner than normal.

Meguiars makes a nice dressing - still should not get on any clear plastics.
