Post Need Help With Swap Fast.....!!!!!

I Was Recently Given A 91 Civic Si. Now I'm Ready To Do A Swap I Want To Run A Turbo B16 w/ Upgraded Internals. i'm aiming at 428hp on 16.2psi with a max boost of 22psi but the motor can withstand 30psi.
But my boys are tellin me to go wit a ls-vtec but i heard that ls-vtec motors dont run well on turbo because of it's high compression. so what should i do?????? i'm trying to run mid 10's - low 11's

i thought ls-vtec were ideal for boosting. anyways just lower the c/r. any engine you get your have to tune it especially if your running that much boost good luck though

You shouldn't be asking for advice if you are building a motor like that, and vise versa, you shouldn't be building a motor like that if you have to ask questions like these. Do some more research.

wow, 10,000 dollars in tax returned money that's a lot!. Although i must say why would you want to speed 10,000 on a 91 civic?!, but hey different things for different people. best of luck though.

Re: Need Help With Swap Fast.....!!!!!

why not just put a v8 in it. it seems like that would be more cost effective. like something cool like a caddy 4.7l transverse. and keep it fwd. now that would be worth it. and even then put a turbo on it and you could really turn some heads.

biggest reason not to: torque would bend the soft unibody VERY quickly...

good luck w/ ur project.

Re: Need Help With Swap Fast.....!!!!!

lol nah i didnt get 10,000 in tax return lol i only got 4,500 and the rest was saved from my other cars i sold. the reason i'm spending this much money on the car is because i want to see what i can do with it you know test it's limits. and theres alot of ppl who are waiting for me to tell it and i just got the motor put in. im waiting for the snow to melt to take it break the motor in. i've had a mid 11sec 3000gt vr4 (sold), 10sec 89 mustang (sold), a 17sec accord (lol it's my stock daily driver it's a automatic)
