panel lights and guages wrong readings

Not sure if this reflects 99 durango speedometer thread, but I am having similar problems with my 2000 durango 5.2L SLT. It's not just the ABS light that stays on but the low fuel light, engine light, and seat belt lights come on. The guages remain on the left side then sometimes show correct readings but then fade back down to show no readings, no gas, no speed, no battery, no oil, no water. This started this morning and every time has had different readings..I took it to AutoZone and the odometer displayed no bs, well duhh. At Autozone they ran a diagnositc test and it came out okay. If you have any input I would appriciate it thank you very much!

we just started having the same problem with our 01 durango. On the highway, all gages and lights on dash turned off, then back on again. Spedometer was up and down. Drove great the rest of the day, went to start it today and it will start, the its like the engine just turns itself off. It doesnt choke, still souds fine when it starts, after a few seconds its just stopps. We tried to give it some time, a friend said 90 min due to a computer malfunction, and it still wouldnt stay started. Any ideas?

Re: panel lights and guages wrong readings

update - the problem was a loose connector. I had the same problem on the first day the dash would come on then go away back and forth. The whole time the dash was useless, the truck started and drove good. Not sure if that answers your question, but I didn't have a starting problem.

Re: panel lights and guages wrong readings

no more problems with the gauges, i can finally see how fast I'm driving and know how much gas i have!!! I do have a problem with my blinkers, think it could be just a fuse. I've been neglecting to take it in cause it costs them just to look at it. I'd hate to pay alot of money for something minor. I'm going to see if someone I know can look at my fuses.
