2000 deville dhs..... nightvision lens

someone backed in to my car and broke the lens for the nightvision. the dealer wants too much to fix..... can anybody tell me a less exspensive route to get these parts????

The parts for your night-vision will be very hard to find cheap, since the system isn't popular yet. If someone backed into you, shouldn't insurance cover the cost?

Can you make a comment on the Night Vision system. Is this worth having? Any experiences that have you sold on it. Do you also have the Xenon lights? I am looking at used DTS's and none have the Xenon lights and only one has the Night Vision.

Check with the dealer to see if the lens is available seperately. Cadillac was supposed to have the lens available soon, because of complaints that if the lens was cracked, the whole camera would have to be replaced.

If they make you replace the whole camera I'd be interested in buying the broken one, I need one for parts. Depending on if its the newer or older style its worth 1-2k to me
