Anyone have Tein SS, Tein BASIC, or Apex'i WS Damper Systems?

I honestly don't care too much about the ride quality, as long as it's bearable over the occasional long drive (3-4 hours or so, not very often.) I'm looking for a coilover system that really helps improve handling. If you have any of these three, what are they like? If you have different ones, what are they, and how are they?

I recommend that you check out the AF Global group buy that's going on right now on Tein products:

I am getting Tein FLEX for my car (350Z).

Damn that was a fast reply :-P

But that group buy is the whole reason I'm asking, because if the TEIN's are pretty much what I'm looking for, and I can get them for cheap (from that group buy) then i'm sure as hell in on it.

Re: Anyone have Tein SS, Tein BASIC, or Apex'i WS Damper Systems?

Go for the Tein SS or Flex. The only bad thing about the Tein Basic set-up is that there is NO compression/rebound settings on the struts. If you spend the money on quality coilovers, ride quality doesn't become an issue until a 2" or more drop is used - any set-up will be very stiff @ 2" or more.

If you don't care about ride quality, you obviously never drove/rode in a car with crap suspension or very stiff. Ride quality is key for a street driven vehicle, performance 2nd.

Oh, I've ridden in a friend's car that rode like complete ass, but I'm not like a huge comfort freak or anything. Thanks for that confirmation about the TEIN system...I've heard things about TEIN's stuff such as "Oh they're great! Best coilovers ever!" But these people never said *why*, which is what i was wondering. Alrighty, TEIN it is...thanks again
