91 z28 Speakers?

Just bought a nice Z and I'm wondering what type of speakers are in this car stock. No not the size I know what it takes but I guess I'm wondering if upgrading the stock speakers is even necessary (I had thought that there were some decent ones put in these cars stock not sure).

Re: 91 z28 Speakers?

replace em, they're crap, and the 6x9's in the back side panels are a terrible location for sound quality, so I recommend and amp for them and also maybe adding some 6 1/2's in the doors

Oh ok I thought some model came with Bose but I have no idea. My friend has my old pioneers in the front and back with an amp and my old 12" earthquakes w/ 1200 watt amp its amazing to sit in that car and hear the system (pioneer headunit too). I think I'm gonna model mine off that I never liked the speakers in the doors thing but I guess it would sound even better.

personally as far as 6x9's are conserned I think the boston acousitcs rm-9 are the best. Along ith there proseries subs. Thats what the buick is getting this winter along with a pioneer DEH-75000MP head unit
