Skyline Conversion!!

I know the united states makes conversion manditory on skyline GTR's.
Do Gt-t's have to be converted to U.S standards?

Re: Skyline Conversion!!

What do you mean by "conversion"
the rumor that the entire emissions system needs to be replaced, or "converted", if that's what you mean, is just that - a rumor. There's no truth in it. It's just import regulations.

And as far as I know, there is no such thing as a Skyline GT-T. Since 2001, the only "skyline" nissan has produced is the Nissan Skyline V35, which is a japanese version of the well-known Infiniti G35, and there are "skyline V35" coupes and sedans over there.
For 2005 I believe there is a R35 being released, which will stick around until 2007, when an R36 will be released, and sold in north america. That will be a good day for canadians (and you americans too I guess )

Not that I'm aware of. But I could very well be wrong. Does someone know for sure?

ALL Skylines have to go through the same complaince and legalization processes.

Re: Skyline Conversion!!

That's not the issue. We were wondering if there was a trim of skyline called the "GT-T".

Re: Skyline Conversion!!

some common skylines:
R32 GTR, GTS, GXi, GTS4, GTS-t, GTE
R33 GTR, GTS, GTS25t
R34 GTR, 25GTT
These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head (that I have seen around my area)

Yo !

There is an R34 GT-T.

How ever there is no such skyline GT-S. There is no ( - ) between the letters.

R32
GXI, GTE, GTE-X, GTS, GTS25, GTS-T, GTS4, GTR.

R33
GTS, GTS25, GTS4, GTS25t, GTR

R34
GT, GT25, GT4, GT-T, GTR

It really gets me when people call them GT-S for the GTS, or the R33 GTS-t for the GTS25t.

It gets to me when people try to make Hondas/Acuras look like Skylines by putting Skyline head lights and tail lights on them. (Prime example in the new import tuner)

Also, the flagrant mis-use of the GTR badge!?! (seen them on a Nissan SE-R, Mustang, and of course Hondas)

And one of the worse insult to a Skyline I've seen was an R32 GTS-t on Okinawa, Japan with a Honda badge! Of course, it was an American's car which explained the ignorance.

WOW, that's the SAME damn one I saw here. The one I saw was white though. Is that thing real? I thought it was just another stupid ass cube car here in japan and somebody stuck a GTR badge on it.
