Monte Carlo SS VS Impala SS

ok here's the question: I was just wonderin which car would be faster:
an 85' Monte Carlo SS with a ~200hp 305 H.O. and a 4.10 geared tranny or a 64 Impala SS with a 250 hp 350 (desent shape) and a 2 speed power glide tranny

You've all seen the "Priceless" credit card commercials, right??? How's this one:

Funeral Costs to your parents: $7k
New Truck for your parents: $23k
Payments to the family you've torn apart: $136k
Killing yourself, a 26 year-old woman, and her 4 year old Daughter from Street Racing: Not worth it...

Funny? Didn't think so... Save racing for the track

Rest in Peace, Brandon: Fly on, Freebird!

Re: Monte Carlo SS VS Impala SS

The Monte all the way. The weight ratio and transmission. What about foot-pound torque? Which is greater. That has more clout than HP. If you're running a 4:10 gear as well, that's not much of a highway gear. Do you get 2 miles to the gallon with that? ; )
