THere seem to be alot of the same questions posed lately and in fact several threads in the last few days that are similar.
Just wanted to remind all the new folks that these links exist for your benefit, please use them , check before posting a question. If its not in either thread or you need further explanation then post a question

cant we have a AF modeling test! you have a day to read the FAQ then you have to fill in a questionaire on what to do in situations such as orange peel. or how to lower a car. if you get less than 50% right then your banned from starting new posts! to stop the innane questions.
dunno if that could ever work but i know what ya mean. i seem to be reply to the same questions on a daily basis.

Also i was wondering if as a collection of people if we should not create a suppliers link for items we all use. not just hlj etc. but one for as i just found out "Flocking" the links i were given i never knew existed. would be nice to have our own links section or preffered suppliers etc.
also stating a mini review of the service?
or would this be too difficult?
just a suggestion to also help newbies

I've read them all, and sometimes I still refer back to them. They are great.

I live in the 'How To' forum and appreciate all the work that everyone has done to get it there. I've also posted links to it on other sites and have gotten many positive responses from my friends.

Right now I am doing a model using only the rules that I find in the 'How To' area. I think this model is going to look great. I made one mistake on it so far and not because of the instructions.

Thanks to all the guys that are showing us newbies 'How To'.

J. Barry

LOL No David I specifically said that this was not directed at anyone in particular.
I was just making an observation that most questions can be answered by using either the FAQ or How To section. trying to get people to be more resourceful and help themselves when they can. It is my belief that the iternet and all our modern conveniences have made our society lazy. Just because the internet holds a wealth of info doesn't mean that you don't have to put a little effort into finding it.
I also posted this in respect to the sponsors, mods , and those who have contributed to AF in other ways ( i.e. the How TO ) who have put alot of effort into providing and mainting a knowledge base for our use. Writing a How TO does take time and thought.

And like I said there is nothing wrong with asking for additional info or clarification on something.

Re: Does everyone know.........

its not that we dont want so called "newbies" starting threads, its just that we dont want to have to answer the same questions over and over and over again...im sure everyone (regular forumers and mods alike) are getting sick of it...an idea that could probobly never work is if to get to the modeling forum...you have to click the FAQ and then at the bottom of the FAQ there would be a link to this forum...could get annoying though for people who come here everyday, like myself...these are all just ideas to make the modeling forum a happier place and im sure everyone wants to be happy!
