Brakes pads

I was going to change my rear brake pads, when i got one of the bolts off on the caliper, but that was it all of the other ones were torqued on too tight. I have tried everything. The bolts are starting to strip, so i stopped. What should i do? Please Help!!!!!!! Thanks in advance.

Re: Brakes pads

Well it sounds weared that a bolt is striping while it is being extracted. You can try heating up the bolt and then lostning it, or shoot some lube on it. But you may end up braking the blots off or ending up needing to re-tap the hole.

Also make sure you are turning the wrench the right way.

I can only assume you mean the head of the bolts are stripping since the threads would not be when attempting to remove them. If the heads are stripping then you might be doing something wrong. Are you using a 12 point socket/box end wrench? If so then do not. Use a 6 point. And make sure it fits tight. Even a little play means you are not using the right size. And when you do finally get them out go to NAPA and order some new Caliper bolts and grease them prior to installation.
