Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

My buddy has a 2002 Maxima SE the 255hp version. We raced down the interstate from a 60 roll up to 125. Soon as my VTECH kicked in he dropped back about 10 cars by the time I hit my speed limiter which was fairly quick.

We ran 3 times and did the same each. GO GO VTECH.

Hehe, well atleast a mod took the bait I know it's not vtech just messing around with ya.

Oh, it's a 1998 Honda Civic with the D16Y8. Well, I was in VTEC instantly but it's probably Edelbrock turbo kit running 10 psi that helped the most.
Car spec's are on my car domain site. 98Civic

Re: Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

what ye have in ye car? was his car manual or auto? coz either way...if you just have basic bolt-ons, the maxima can eat ye alive with a 60 mph roll. BUT if ye have teh turbo...i can say good kill.

edit -- ow ye have teh turbo. how much hp are ye running? good kill by the way...if hp are close with the maxima, your civic wins by weight advantage.

Re: Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

What's his name... i think it is MaxSpeedHonda is running something like 10psi in his civic and dynoed at 259whp. So if this cat is running anything close to that I have no doubts that he would kill a 2002 maxima.

Maximas are quick but they're not that quick.

Re: Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

have you considered puttin in a DOCH 1.8 like a GSR or ITR, or atleast LS integra motor?? you could see alot better results with a DOCH motor. just my .02 though, nice ride btw.

Re: Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

My bad his nowhere near 250, if he was he'd be in the 12's. I say his around the 195-215whp.

Re: Beat a 2002 Maxima SE

whats this running on? what kind of ems? with good tuning im sure you would see greater hp numbers and lower track times, deff a nice single cam setup

just dont come off like you dont know anything such as the "vtech" thing but dont come off like you know everything, much respect for the motor, good kill
