i have a few questions about my 94 dodge shadow that maybe someone could help me out

i have a 94 dodge shadow and just a few days ago, actually on christmas, i was driving it after i had just put in my new stereo and the guages died on me. the fuse isnt blown and i dont know what it could be...? anyone have any ideas? my left marker light stopped working and i replaced both bulbs. i tried hooking up a ground to the front marker light but the wire overheated and started to melt. any clues there? and i also purchased an es turbo head for the car and i have the wiring harness and all but im not sure if it would work, like the wiring would all match up or whatnot. if anyone has any suggestions or ideas that they could throw out to me id greatly appreciate it. thanks

Sounds like you have a short. You're going to want to go back over your stereo wiring and double check it. As for the head, you probably have a 3.0L V6 and that head you bought won't bolt on. Do you know what engine your car has in it?
