Got Car To Run, But still got a problem.

Hi,

As some of you know in my last post awhile ago I was having trouble getting my timing back the correct way when I installed a new gasket.
Anyways, today after school I set the Cam at and TDC and also the Crankshaft at TDC. I fired up the car and it will only run if you give the car gas. As soon as you let off the gas pedal it will kill the engine.
I also got a check engine light which on the ECU said 14. Which means Electronic Air Control EACV.

I still must have the timing off right?
Or do you think maybe a wire isnt connected on the EACV? ALthough I really never touched that wire?
Please help ASAP.

Hey man, lol, sounds like you had some bad luck too! When I got my head done Sunday, I fired it up and my fuel rail seals broke and gas was spraying everywhere. Anyways, it doubt you messed the timing up. Check the EAVC to makesure it's plug in, you gotta push it in good, also check to see if any of the wires are cut at all. Let me know if you get any improvement.

Nope none of the wires are cut, anyways i never touched those wires only dissconnected them from the EACV.
Im pretty sure its my timing, because i double-checked my distributor and all the wires are still good.
I just dont know, like I said I tried setting the CAM to TDC and Crank to TDC then tightening the belt.
Tried starting it up and the best i can get it to is get it to idle real rough and it will only idle will the gas pedel held down. Also at first the check engine light doesnt come on, then it does after about 5 seconds of idling.
Im really getting pissed at this problem and im calling a mobile mechanic tommorow to hopefully fix my timing.
If you anything that could help please let me know.
