Re: which turbo??

You need to be more specific. What does he plan on doing.. Regular street driving, drag racing, etc.. What are his goals if he is drag racing.. 10sec car or 12 sec car.. The next upgrade from stock is either a 14b if he is short on cash or a Evo 16g if he's got money.. This is my opinion of course.

as fast as possible means what exactly? there are so many turbo’s out there that you do need to help narrow them down. You can make the car an incredible drag car but still able to drive on the street. Also, how much does your friend have to spend on this turbo.. Depending on what he gets it will require supporting mods that are quite pricy as well..

Re: which turbo??

As fast as possible? Well u want 8's 13's what? Does he know that its not just putting a turbo on and go? Does he have any mods at all?

First thing you should do is open up your exhaust, more air, better BOV. A boost controler so the new turbo is worth something.

Your buddy would be stupid to buy a turbo because someone told you their favorite. Sounds like he could use a 14b or 16g, and with a 16g, you won't be looking for a new turbo to go faster, you will be tuning.

Tell him that there is 5 hours of reading on turbo selection and he needs to do it before he spends 3,000 dollars in mods which won't give him 11's until he knows what he is doing.
