Owned by wisdom teeth

Any of you ever had your wisdom teeth removed? Mine are just now starting to come in and one of them is growing in crooked, hurts like hell. I'm gonna call the dentist tomorrow.
So, what's the story with yours?

Got one fully through, one halfway. 2 still to come. They hurt like hell. No need to get em out - have room in my jaw.

I'm not actually sure if I'll need to get mine taken out, but they hurt like hell.

Re: Re: Re: Owned by wisdom teeth

I had my 2 top ones out, the dentist just pulled them and it didnt hurt at all. My right bottom one is coming in now so I went to see the dentist and he told me it was growing in straight but he wants to remove it anyway. He said with the bottom ones you have to cut them out so I told him no. The only reason he wanted me to get them out was so he could make more money. They dont hurt at all and until they do, they are staying in my mouth.

Had all four of mine taken out - it was nothin'. I think the coolest thing (only cuz I didn't know they did this) was when they gave me a shot of novacain in my arm before inserting the I.V.

I woke up right after they finished & didn't feel a thing. And the percocet (I know that's misspelled, but oh well) they gave me for the pain was pretty cool too...

Re: Owned by wisdom teeth

my sister had all of hers removed and she got 3 dry sockets, which is where all the clotting stuff they put in their comes out and your left with holes in your mandible/maxible, after 2 days of agony she had it remedied. i was recently told i had to have all of mine removed but i'm hesitant.

Re: Owned by wisdom teeth

Yep had all 4 of mine taken out about 5 years ago. Wasn’t a pleasant experience as they were all impacted. It took ages for the damn holes to heal again.

you woke up ??? you little girl. Some laughing gas to make me happy and a shot in my gums (hurt) and a shot in the roof of my mouth (hurt like a mother!!!) , I was awake while they were cutting and prying those lil bastards out. Hell the dentist was flicking his cigarette ashes in my mouth hell I couldnt feel much so why the hell not (ok not really lol) . Good thing was , I got all the ice cream I wanted. Bad thing was , my parents stopped to get themselves chinese on the way home . Then a couple of years later I had to have to recesses in my teeth (natural , dont remember what they called it) drilled and filled and they asked me If I wanted anything and I remembered the needle in the roof of my mouth and said NO. Believe it or not that one prick in the roof of my mouth hurt worse than the entire drilling process with no pain killers.

Re: Re: Owned by wisdom teeth

I have 3 and 3/4 of my wisdom teeth. Didn't hurt all that badly coming in... TRYING DESPERATELY to keep them in b/c my jaw is too small and the 4th tooth hasn't emerged all the way and there was one time when I got an infection b/c of it... Oh well.

i had mine pulled out pretty young i guess i was 15 when i had them all pulled. it was a weird expereince. They gave me some gas, and i don't remeber much after that. i'm told i slipped in and out of consiousness after it was done, it wasn't till i got home that i realised what was going on. the worst part about it was the week after. i would wake up in the morning with blood in my mouth and one hell of an awful taste

Wow, 15's pretty young. I'm scheduled ot get mine out in May, they are half impacted, which is bad enough to need them out.

Re: Owned by wisdom teeth

Fuck that. I am rather resistant to anesthetic (sp) so I prefer no minor surgery thanks.
