large backfire in 4th at 4300 rpm
I have a 96 eclipse gst modded out to 368 hp at the wheel. When I floor it, from 1st, it goes up fine to 4th gear and after 4300 rpm, i get a loug backfire and loss of power. Anyone have any clue on what i should do? The car was dyno tuned 3 months ago.

What are mods, and specifically what have you done to eliminate fuel cut.

Re: large backfire in 4th at 4300 rpm
Im thinking fuel cut as well. Does it feel like your transmission just fell out of your car? If it did then you have fuel cut. You can get an eliminator for it if that is what your problem is.
Good luck |

Re: large backfire in 4th at 4300 rpm
Usually ignition and boost leak issues result in a stumbling or stuttering, not one large single event. But anything is possible.
