Angry moves in gear

hello all fellow crx owners, i have an 88 crx si, my crx was down for a bout two weeks cause of a bad CV joint, now that i have changed it my car will roll even when the car is in gear! i have no idea why its doing this my gears have always been fine! some one please help!!!!!!!!!!!

extra.. after we put i the cv joint my friend went to pop the cluth but there was no batt so as it rolled back there was a loud pop and the car could never catch a gear again, i've tighted the linkage cable thats not it so i'm stuck dont know what to do could it be the cluth or the tranny? some one please help.

when its running and you put it in gear what does it do? it sounds like you broke an axel

sounds like the axle has came out of the gearbox to me , have a look under the car!

I popped the passenger side axle when I swapped motor because the axle wasn't pushed in all the way. It was a rather loud pop. (was backing car up my steep driveway*

thats how mine happened my friend was backing the car out the drive way(car was off) and then we heard a loud pop, we thought maybe the cv joint so we took it off cause it wasnt fitting perfect exchanged it and the second one went in alot beter but still nothing.**** when the cars running and i put it in gear it just revs but it doesnt even try to move.
