Angry 04 Silverado engine vibration

Just bought a 04 Silverado 4.3L Ext. cab 2WD just before Christmas. Have been getting a vibration when you slightly apply the gas from the motor, it vibrates through the gas pedal and most of the truck. Had it to the dealer and they said it was normal and they could not do anything about it. They have not had anything go wrong from that vibration. In other words I'm SOL. Can anyone help What should I do? Has anyone out their had the same problem with vibration problem?

Re: 04 Silverado engine vibration

Thanks for the info. I didn't find anything about any vibrations on the Silverado in the bulletin stuff maybe there will be soon. I will keep taking it back and find someone at the dealer who might want to help or something. Thanks again

Re: 04 Silverado engine vibration

Your hearing exhaust resonance. It's a problem with stainless steel exhaust systems. Chevrolet is aware of the problem and has a stainless steel flexible exhaust attachment that will fix the problem. This is covered under warranty, and they do have a service bulletin on the problem. It seems to be happening alot with the 4.3, and 4.8 engines. I had the problem with my 2002 silverado ext. cab. They installed the flex exhaust, and the problem is completely gone. Good luck, and ask top see the service buletin, it will explain how the flex exhaust works.
