Mustang smokin 4banger

Someone has asked me about this car every time I have mentioned it. Well here she is, I wish I still had it but it was sold to finance the Mustangs build. This is the only pic I have and it was to document the damage for insurance purposes. Some folks can't even back out of a parking spot. Parking at the end of the lot away from everyone else didn't help this time. I needed a front valance before it got backed into so I guess it all worked out good for me anyway. Ther are only two of these cars I know of around town. They are owned by two brothers who are the original owners. One is a 1989 inentical to mine with 22k miles and the other is a silver 1990 with 25K. 90 was the last year of production and the sticker price on it new was almost $23000. The retail on one now is only about $3000. I don't know why their value dropped so much, but they are fairly rare and parts are very expensive. In the hands of the right mechanic this car could be a nightmare to anyone driving a stock Stang. I know this from experience. In 1996 my buddy purchased a new 95 GT. He consistantly saw my taillights until he installed headers, an h pipe, and a cat-back system. After that he beat me by about 1 car lenght. Normally most well tuned Stangs could beat it. If anyone knows anything about these little cars let me know. This is about the only stock 4banger I have ever seen that would outrun a Mustang. Gotta give Dodge credit, this is a fast little car. I just can't help but wonder, what would more boost been like?
