Engine CHeck Light on ~ engine shakes a lot (rpm too low)

Hello, my 90 Ex accord check light comes out once awhile. Whenever the engine check comes out, whole car shakes. When I turn on my headlights and my A/c, the engine even worst.
And then, whenever my first start in the early morning, if the engine light still stay on after I turning on the key and get ready to start, the engine will not burn after I turn the key. HOwever, I don't have any problem to turn on the engine if the engine is warmed up evem though the engine light stays on before I start. What would be my problem???

Hmm I belive it has to do with ur idle.. It should be a little above 1Rpm if it goes under you need to adjust the thorottle cable under the hood where u see where the hmm i dunno u can move it from the engine to rev it well tighten the little screw. thats what i did and all worked out fine

is your car a manual or automatic? if you got the auto tranny. idle should be at 750rpm when warmed up.

if the check engine light comes on the first thing to do is diagnose it!

in the kick pannel on the passenger side look for a blue 2 prong clip...jump it with the ACC on not the car, and then look at the check engine light....see how many times it blinks....count how many times it blinks slow and fast...and see if it repeats...

Accordztech is right. You need to prioritize your issue's.

You Check engine light is there for a reason. All the rest of the issue's don't mean anything until you get the CEL worked out.

A 4 banger really doesn't have that much juice to begin with so you start loading it with the A/C compressor, the Alt for the lights, and esp being in gear all while at idle, your going to notice a difference! Esp if it's not running right from the get go.
