Smile 97 chevy cavalier 2.2l

HI I have a 97 chevy cavalier. I was wondering if anyone had an answer
to my question.I am currently building an engine. a used 2.2 I got at work for free I was thinking of switching the pistons from dish to flat top.
If i did so would the computer try to adjust because of the large difference in compression and also i would like to know if anyone had ever done this before along with some other detailed engine mods.
and one other thing has anyone tried taking out the head gasket and using copper rings instead.
