Integra SE vs sports bike

Hah...This wasnt even a real race! But I decided to post it anyways:

Me and two my friends were riding his one of my friends brothers (whew that took somethought) Integra SE. Nothing special-just I/E/H rollin on 17's. We were on the way back from the mall (what fun...) and we pulled along side these two sports bikes. I dunno what they were, but well that doesnt really matter now does it? So just jokingly, my friend threw it in 3rd and revved a couple times. Well...after about 3 seconds, mr. bikey was 7-8 cars ahead of us-we were floored. This experience has been an awakening-my realization: Sports bikes are fudging fast!

Ya almost all 600cc + sport bikes are nasty fast compared to cars. LOL The feel even faster ridding on them, My buddy has a ZX6R and that things is hella fast compared to anything else I have ever drove or rode on

Re: Re: Integra SE vs sports bike

9-11 second 1/4 stock, my cbr900rr went 9.90's & katana 10.40's. I never did get why people "tried" to race me when I had my bikes. I could still beat most of them on wheel. There is a 9 second Jeep CJ7 around my area that took a hayabusa(1300cc) by a car lenght or so. Cars are just plain SLOW after riding built 600cc & 900cc rockets.

I have a video of a turbo charged GSXR 600 or 750, HOLY SHIT! now that's just stupid fast.

Ever seen a top fuel drag bike? Burnin' nitro(not nitrous) and running 7 seconds @ 240mph+

Yes, bikes are road demons!!! When I was back home in Chicago a few weeks back, two dudes on bikes were cruising at about 50 in a 45. I was slowly passing them doing almost 55. Not racing, just driving. I guess they didn't like being passed by (of all things) an Accord. The first guy dropped gear and took off, the second one did the same. I dropped gear just to see exactly how many lengths they were gonna leave me by...it was too many to count. ten seconds later, they were specs.

haha...reminds me of a story...

o/t: my buddy's uncle has an 87 GN running mid 10's. this guy is cruising down I5 when a sport bike comes up next to him an takes off doing a wheelie. well...he floored it (auto), and was sitting right next to the guy. this car sounds like a beast, and the guy on the bike about crashed cuz of how shocked he was w/ something keeping up w/ him.

the guy said his look was priceless...

Eh, you ever seen somebody ride a snowmobile with a slick track down the quarter mile? Now THAT is scary - to watch! The bloody thing actually wables side to side all the way down the strip. These things aren't slow either - as fast as most stock sportbikes. 10-11 sec ET's are common.

Pure lunacy if you ask me.

These bikes im talking about:

Those sled guys are crazy, i've seen a 9 second sled at the track. By far the craziest thing I've seen on a drag strip was a ROCKET powered tiny ass go-kart type thing.

It's actually for sale, and top-speed is estimated at 300+ MPH.

Re: Re: Re: Integra SE vs sports bike

Yea that Viper bike is bad ass!!!!!!They are building 10 to sell & thats it, I think. When they first brought that out, it was never meant to be sold.

I don't think I'd try a Nitro Harley(top fuel) but I would jump on a Pro stock bike in a second.
