needs for b18a1 to b18b1

whats everything i need to do a b18b swap in my 92 teg? will the mounts from the a1 still work with the B??

The two motora are basically the same, just some minor improvements to free up some extra hp. And yes the mopunts will work the only thing you need to do is convert the B18B1 into OBD0. Basically it is just disconnecting a sensor on the intake manifold, depending on the year of the B18B1. Also be sure to keep your tranny, the DC chasis teg have a hydrolic clutch and you have a cable clutch and the conversion process is nasty.

u da man...shoulda made u a mod instead...

u know the process of converting cable to hydro? haven't been around it before...

Ya unfortunately I know the process too well. Helped a friend convert a 92 ls from auto to manual with a B18C swap. Man talk about headaches. LOL

well the b18b1 is a 94 so im guessing thats hydroalic...so what do i need to do to convert cable to hydro??

You don't want to do that. Is your car a manual now? If so then leave the tranny that came in it there and just put the B18B1 in there the tranny will bolt up to the B18B1.

yea its manual right now...so ur sayn i can just swap the b18b1 in there right now and i wont have to change to the hydro tranny...i sure as hell hope thats what ur say'n...it would save tons of time.
