Question Few questions before swapping engines!?

Hey everyone... I havent really swapped any engines before. But i was wondering what i should do before taking out the old engine. What should i unconnect before pulling it out. Any suggestions or any easy tricks to doin so? thanx alot guys

make sure you make a detailed diagram of where everything goes and what it does.
sometimes things on a new engine will be in a different place, and it's good to know what wire is what.
Another way to make things simpler is to contact Painless, a company that makes wiring harnesses for just about whatever engine you have/will have.

best advice I can give is to get a few friends to help, and be patient. It will take a while and not be easy, but it's better to do it right the first time then have to fix it later on.
You will need NEW oil, coolant, PS fluid, belts, hoses, and possibly some fuel line. Also, it is a good Idea to replace the engine mounts while your in there, as well as the bolts. Take the time while your engine is out to clean up your engine bay too.
If you don't have a cherry picker, you will need to support the engine from underneath, so get a quality jack. once disconnected, a few strong guys should be able to lift it out if all is disconnected.
