I'd go for the GS-R for sure. Though the prelude is nice, the GS-R handling and ride is soo sweet
, and you can't forget that it contains Hondas infamous GS-R engine.

Re: which one of these should i buy, if i should buy any at all
I have these cars that i found on autotrader. I will list them and can u tell me which one is a better deal
1. 1997 Honda Prelude $7800, red, 5speed,101000miles, original owner. 2. 1997 Honda Prelude SH, $9950, all wheel drive. 3. 1997 Honda Prelude SH coupe, $8950, 87120 miles, 5speed, 12 month /15000 mile warranty and then there is the GSR 1. 1996 Acura Integra GSR, 121000 miles, 5spd, DC sports cat-back-exhaust, $5000. |

Well depend on the type of the prelude. Anyway if the prelude is a lower division then the gsr is stronger( Not much of a different tho ). But if you want the look, then get the prelude.

Re: what to buy?used Prelude or used Integra GSR
i may be biased but i say prelude. everyone and their dogs has an integra. preludes are rarer and more classy IMO. i say option 3, you'll love how the type SH takes corners. and as for your 2nd option, there is NO such thing as an AWD prelude.

no the preludes don't have all wheel steering either...what they have is a LSD that is supused to mimic RWD handling(from what i hear at least) from your choices....the gsr wold have a bigger aftermaket but the lude is more rare better looking and bigger displacement

i wouldn't get a GSR for anything. in the last 6 months both of my friends GS-R got stolen. and htey just bought it too. too many people want that B18c1 man. anyways i'll take the H22 anyday. the B18c1 just feels weak. it really needs some tq. plus people mostp eople can't tell the difference between a GSR to a integra RS, LS, GS but however if you get a 5th gen prelude. that car is sooo sleek. i love that car. even though i hate hondas. both of them are slow. but i'll still take the prelude since it feels quicker. even thought they're about the same. and they do'nt get stolen as often.

actualy the older preludes did have all wheel steering. but it's not available on a 97 and up prelude. it works but it adds weight to an already heavy car the prelude type SH has what's called ATTS. not quite an lsd since it's only operative when the car's turning and no help in straight line. the type s prelude available in japan did have a true lsd. |

Re: what to buy?used Prelude or used Integra GSR
GSR has a bigger aftermarket following for sure...it's lighter and handles better...but as said...it's a thief's dream to get his hands on that car
Prelude has more TQ and has a decent aftermarket following...I mean it's a Honda so it wont be that bad...but it's heavy by Honda standards... |

ah well i stand corected...i knew they had a system to make it corner more neutral but i though they just had a weird lsd and as TAT II said integras are the cars most stolen in the US..I remember seing a report on it...

the gsr would handle better than a prelude in an autocross setting, where there's a lot of tight and abrupt turns due to its lighter weight and more agile feeling. the prelude sh, on the other hand would hand a gsr its own ass on an oval track or other courses with longer-sweeping turns. |

what to do
Alright. If i get the GSR (which most of u say I shouldn't). Since it has 121,000 miles on it should i rebuild the engine or get another one with less milage on it. Plus if i wanted to stick with the engine and rebuild it how much would it cost me. And would I have to get a new transmission system soon?

Re: what to buy?used Prelude or used Integra GSR
Prelude is rarer. Prelude looks better, especially with the rear spoiler. Interior is much nicer. Performance is arguably better. If you were going to make a racer I'd say go with a GS-R. For any other purpose I would say Prelude.
