1995 Mustang AC/Heat /Defroster

I summon the mustang gods once more. My heat,AC, defroster switch was working fine until yesterday. Now, no matter what switch position, it stays vented to the defroster. Whether I switch to Ac, floor, panel, mix, etc...nothing happens. Anyone ahev experience on ehre to look? I appreciate it. Thanks.

switch is broken, or vent is stuck

did u mess with any vacuum lines lately. if not your heater linkage might be stuck or have come off behind the knob.

Re: 1995 Mustang AC/Heat /Defroster

Hadn't touched anything but is that switch electrical? It works in the off position but every other position, blower works ok but stuck in defroster to the windshield. Is it easy to get to the door that is supposed to move?

even in newer mustangs, they still use some linkage setups in the heater boxes. you should probably have a shop check it out then, unless you wanna check under the dash and try to fiddle with it yourself.

Re: 1995 Mustang AC/Heat /Defroster

i sent you a pm, but i do not know if you got it. so i will reply here. i had the same problem with my 95 mustang, and i would like to share some info with you. if you lift up your hood and go to the driver's side. you will see a black cylinder shaped unit with several black plastic lines coming out of it. check to make sure all lines are okay. one of mine broke somehow and caused the same problems you are having. to fix it, i pulled the broken piece out of the rubber gasket and re-inserted the good end with a little superglue and it works perfectly again. hope this helps.
