Restoring an old one

I picked up a '48 chevy 3 window a few years back and have just about decided to start working on it. This thing is original. 12,500 miles, hub caps. The whole nine yards. The only things missing are the carb and breather assy. While I have went back and forth over what I wanted to do with it(street rod or original). The buget my wife has me on has forced me to go original. Does anyone have knowlege of a place where I can get parts for this truck? Maybe even Manuals?
