That is a nice little car, but why did you trade your Maxima?
Tired of it or high miles?

Is the Mazda a quick little car? The interior looks nice.
I think the 5 door prolly looks better than the 4 door.
Mazda is comming out with some nice cars. Those are
cool rims, they 17s?

Thanks... I was sick of the 00' Max. It had high miles (67,000) and the ride quality sucked.. i.e. rattles from everywhere in the interior. The engine mounts feel like they were shot, I bent one of my 18" rims (ran over the biggest pothole ever... because my rims are forged and it still bent it), and the paint was all chipped up in the front (Nissan = crappy paint).

The Mazda 3 is not quick at all as far as acceleration goes (160hp, 150tq but the car weighs 2900 lbs) ... I figure if I want to go fast, I just hop in my 03 Max. However, I will eventually turbo the little 3. The rims are stock 17s. The ride is awesome, I'll never get a car with non-independent rear suspension again. Fort Rucker's got some nasty potholes and the 3 just glides over them... My 2 Maxes feel like its about to snap in two when I go over the same roads.

Thats cool, I never thought that the 3 would ride better and
take potholes better than 02 03 Maximas. Seems like my Altima
has a smoother highway ride than my 02 Maxima did, but going
over potholes, I cant tell much differece in the Altima and Maxima.
I havent got to see how well it handles yet.

LOL... hey its only 40% Ford.. But actually its assembled in Japan with 80% of the parts from Japan. The little 2.3l has drive-by-wire, twin balance shafts, and variable valve timing and the 5-speed is silky smooth.. which is what Mazda is known for. Definitely not a Ford.

Still in love with the new car :P The Xenons are not as good as the Maxima's... It seems the Maxima's are brighter. But the little 3 really needs a turbo. I actually have to downshift on some hills!!
