Minivans, a key segment of the light truck market, is making a comeback, which is quite a surprise to everyone who never new it went away. However, minivans are getting significant, feature-rich updates to make them more family-friendly than ever.
As the
Evansville Courrier and Press explains, the new breed of minivan offers "bigger features - bigger engines, wheels, sunroofs and interiors. And then there are the in-car TV, DVD and game players that will keep the kids in the back quiet and out of the grownups' hair for 500 miles - no small automotive landmark in itself."
However, the article also notes that there is now a minivan in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.
