Unhappy 1992 dead d50

Well almost. My 92 d50 with a 2.4 has started a LOT of blow by and is missing pretty bad. 140 k so I guess it is time.
I want to put another engine in but I don't have much cash. Someone told me a mitsubishi 2.0 would bolt in with a computer change and my transmission which is a five speed. I can't find a 2.4 like was in it and the other 2.4 engines I've found are 16 valve and the intake looks like it would hit the brake booster. I found a v6 3.0 from a d50 with a five speed but no computer, that I can get for $600 but what would have to change to install it? Was the frame mounts and cross member different? I thought about doing a v8 340 swap as I can get them cheap but I need it running quickly, it is my dailey driver! Anyone got the knowledge?
