my lighter is stuck~!

hi there. just wondering if anyone knew of a quick/easy way to get a cigarette lighter unjammed. i pushed it in, and it hasn't popped back out. i have a 1998 volkswagen golf. thanks for any suggestions!

You can try to slip a hooked pick tool into it to pull it out or maybe see why it's not working. Perhaps it's as simple as a blown fuse, then it should heat up and pop out. Last resort would be to remove the panel and push it out from the backside.
