Help with racing

Unfortunely.... i have become addicted to street racing more and more. And there is a couple things i need help with. As of now, i can powershift and snatch gears pretty good. But.... i cant launch for crap. Do any of you have some good information on how to launch a car. I've heard to rev to around 2,000 rpms and let the clutch go, then feather....but that doesnt seem to work for me. Also, do any of you know what would be the best rpm to shift at? I wanna get the BEST possible performance from my car before i invest money and if yall will tell me where to launch and all that good stuff i will go practice immediately. Thanks a bunch.

P.S.- How do you do a signature, i'm confused....? It says register but i thought i already was???
