abs light

during the past summer I hit one huge bump on a highway with my 95 2500 and my abs light came on and also the brake warning light. since then i have been unable to figure how to get them to go out. the brake system is fine. I thought it might be the sensor on the master cylinder but that is fine too....any ideas

Re: abs light

my truck had that problem too.. only i dropped mine 6" in the rear so i think that's what caused mine..

i have heard people say that there's a switch near the brake pedal that goes bad..

oh, also if you ground out pin 13 on the OBD connector, it will send the ABS computer into diagnostic mode similar to the check engine light mode..

it turned out that my proportioning valve in the master cylinder was bad and it was sending most of my brakes to the front..

My brake warning light and abs light were on, and I changed the rear wheel speed sensor and the brake warning light went off, but the abs light is still blinking, any ideas on what could be wrong or how I can fix the problem.

Re: abs light

My 2000 model 1500 4WD's ABS light and brake light comes on after I drive about 10 to 15 miles down the road. Once I turn off the truck and restart it both lights go out and stay out till I travel another 10 or so miles. I can not believe that I need to replace anything and I've checked all my wiring for loose connections. What gives?

Re: abs light

I have a 99 and had both my brake warning and abs lights come on. Speedo only worked at speeds above 40mph. Changed out speed sensor and fixed the light problem and speedo problem
