Question Apex'i vs. Greddy??

I have an Apex'i N1 exhaust but the cops where I live are assenine as hell. And constantly give me grief about the noise levels. I have come into some good money while deployed and I was thinkin about switchin to the greddy evo 2, since it's within the 95 db limit. Is it equal as far as performance and would it be a smart move? or should I just say "fuck the police" and stick with the apex?

Re: Apex'i vs. Greddy??

when i was in the armed forces a military ID went a long way with the cops [and i am pretty crafty with them too, you got to get real creative getting out of the shit i used to get myself into 'i'm late for formation, i've got to go!!']. i got the Evo 3 exaust and i love it. i was going to get the N-1, but they were back ordered at the time, so at the last minute i just got the GReddy. i got an Apex'i GT downpipe, though. i love the exaust, it has a great deep sound to it. i got my intercooler in it and my mechanic took it for a test spin to adjust the boost controller and i couldn't believe how loud it was. i never heard it from anywhere but inside the car, or under an overpass or in a tunnel. in a tunnel, it is like a really good beer burp... i am hooked on GReddy stuff, i got the money, so it ain't no thing...

Re: Apex'i vs. Greddy??

Army MP's are bored. They've got nothin better to do than harrass young specialists such as myself. And when you live on post... a military ID doesn't do shit haha But glad to hear the greddy is good.

Did you mean evo2 or is there an evo3 I haven't heard about? I'm sittin here waiting to heal so I've got the time to check it out. Let me know if I"m missin out on somethin.

Re: Apex'i vs. Greddy??

i love the Apexi N-1 but it does have a tendancy to be "some what" noisy. u can get a ..what the word...uhh...a thing that silences the sound [thats right a silencer] for pretty cheap. it makes the opening a 2 incher.

I might be dumb, but can't you just stay off the throttle when a cop is right next to you? no exhaust is loud at idle.

A bushur 3" with over a year or two on it, and the bushur 3.5" are easily loud enough to get "pulled over" at idle. Its happened.
