1999 Keyless remote programming trouble

Hi, I just bought a remote control on e-bay for my 99 Grand Am SE, in the back it says 25678792 and FCC ID: KOBUT1BT, I don't know what does that means but I followed the instructiones other people told me and nothing, is is true that I have to go to the dealer to buy a brand new or I can do it myself?; Do you know how can I program this remote please?

Got the same remote same numbers cant get it to work.Im still looking for better instructions.

See the post from Flatrater at the top of this forum. You need a GM scanner to program the remote on the '99s.
