turbos for Accords

I have 96 Accord EX and I want to put a turbocharger in it. I really don't have the cash to purchase a brand new turbo. I was tod that I could get turbos off other cars like a VW Golf. And I don't want a big noticeable intercooler. To all the 94-97 Accord owners or any other expert out there who have put turbos in their cars, what kind of turbo did you put in your car and what do you think the best one is?

i'm using a Garrett T3 from a mid eighties Saab with an RX-7 FD3 intercooler that's small enough to hide where the intake resonator used to be.

if you look around you'll be able to find more info on custom turbo setups, search past posts and you'll find quite a bit of info

I assume the turbo is for the Prelude from your pic, but will I get the same results on a Accord? About how much gain do you think you have gotten from the turbo? Has there been any problems so far?

i've gotten almost 100hp gain at 9psi. no problems so far.

i'd expect about the same amount of gain, but wouldnt boost so high. i'd try to reach for 200hp on an accord, no more than that or you'll get yourself into problems.

Post turbo Accord owners

Are there any other 94-97 Accord owners out there that have turbos in their car? What is your setup and how has it worked for you so far?
