Nismo parts at dealerships?
i'm sure most people heard that nismo was coming to the US as a delaership-backed, aftermarket parts dealer. I went into my local nissan place yesterday to pick my car up and the first thing i noticed was the rack of nismo shit. shift knobs, mufflers, seatbelt thingies. i didn't get a chance to talk to a service guy and the lady behind the desk had no idea what i was talking about cuz she didn't really work that department and they were busy. Are nismo parts officially available to everyone now through nissan? If so what kind of parts does nismo make that us max drivers could take advantage of?

Yeah, NISMO parts are officially availabe for Nissan vehicles and are backed by warranty (except the super-high perf. parts) but unfortunately they are really only for the new models, which doesn't include most of us. I think they offer like a radiator cap, gas cap, wheels, mostly cosmetic shit at outrageous prices. More importantly, NO real performace parts. Screw you Nissan!

Re: Nismo parts at dealerships?
I got an ad from a local Nissan dealership recentely (I got some stuff done there to my car) and they had some NISMO stuff but nothing for the Maxes. There was a full exhaust package for 350Z but prices were unbelievable. Price for that exhaust was well over a $1000 plus some other crap for same overpriced numbers.

i'm just gettin an urge to add a lil pep to my car and dealer-backed parts is a very enticing offer.

Re: Nismo parts at dealerships?
Yeah, they had those parts since last year but mostly it only came about because of the Z and the SE-R Sentra.
However, they are starting add stuff for Maximas and the 3.5 Altima, eventually they will have to get there in order to compete on the import scene.
