What is an LSD i hear alot of people talkin about it what is it

i think someone told me that it means "limited slip differential" there may be other meanings to it.

a LSD does stand for limited slip diferental. It is a part you install into your transmistion which allows both of the drive wheels to spin together (elimiating pegleg, when your in the snow or doing a burn out and only one wheel spins)
