I saw that same car during a business trip to the UK. They've devoted an entire storefront to selling this car. I suppose when the asking price is £800,000, you can afford an enitre store to sell the car!

Re: mclaren f1

i have seen a McLaren F1 3 times in stockholm
the first time was like in 97-98 and i have always thought that was Rod stewarts F1 because he was in sweden at the time and had a silver F1
but then last summer a saw another silver one and run after it but it dissaperd, but it was probably the same one as the first one.
then i saw a caravan of supercars owned by a wealthy swedish carcollector right in the middle of sthlm the same summer, it was a Mclaren F1, XJ220, clk-gtr, and a F50
that was jaw dropping to say the least!

i have sat inside the mclaren on Park lane, and looked inside the gold engine bay. It is the nicest car i have ever seen let alone sat in.

The three seat layout feels so right and you can imagine yourself driving with ease at 200mph!

beautiful.

Im not gonna lie, it involved a huge amount of bullshitting and sweet-talking on the part of my dad. we drove to the dealership in a Ferrari 355, which helped with the image side of things.

however it was quite a few years ago and i was too naive to fully appreciate what i was sitting in!

seriously though it was the nicest car! its a bit smaller then you expect, but even stationary it gives a latent impression of speed.

The most recent car which reminds me most of the F1 is the Farboud GTS.

Maclaren:

Farboud GTS:

Obviously the Mclaren had everything custom built, so is be the better car eventually, with the farboud using the old RS6 engine highly tuned, but the Farboud will be almost affordable! (not to normal humans obviously)

so yeah thats just my opinion on the subject please dont scream at me if you think im wrong!

F355 eh? not a bad idea... i dont think my Golf would cut it somehow..

Lucky guy for sitting in an F1 anyhow

As for the Farboud the one that sticks in my mind is the GT, which was basically a rip-off of the 911 GT1. The GTS isn't one of the best looking cars ive seen, the front is a bad GT40 imitation and the back, well, the back is hideous... the profile of the car also looks quite strange around the back, too elongated... still, it'll probably be a good car.
