anyone else with automatic have probs.....

just wondering if it is a curse on the auto probes that they have no power at all off the jump. the car seems to have decent power, just dont have the uuumph to get it going to use the power. guess 5 speed is much beter. later

There is a cure. Put the trans in 1st, mash the brake, rev to 2000+ and let go of the brake. This always works for me when I want to fly off the line. Don't worry if you don't do it every day it won't hurt anything.

If you brake torque the tranny (as described above), just be sure you change your tranny fluid frequently (like every 6 months) and run a tranny cooler. Ford Probe/Mazda MX6 auto trannies don't like being abused. If you do abuse it frequently, be sure you have a spare tranny in your garage.
