Window cranks have a retainer clip on the backside of the crank. Go to an auto parts store and pick up a window crank removal tool.

Another way to get the crank off is to take a rag and while holding it with both hands slide it between the crank and the door panel, slide the rag from left to right and back and it should grap the clip and pull it out.
sometimes it works right away and other times it will take a while.

Re: Window Crank

i just used a screwdriver and stuck it in between the crank and the door panel and used it like a pry bar so that i could see the clip holding the crank in place..after that a pair of needle nose plyers will do the trick. Ya might hafta push the clip from the bottom to get it to stick out enough at the top to grab onto with the plyers...also might need someone to hold the screwdriver in place just so you have an extra free hand
