? on the hypertech chip i bought awhile back

this chip is about 3 inches long or so an connects to my stock computer chip, an then plugs back into the computer.

i have an automatic 93 z28 basically all stock except for the gear w- tires ,no cat, no govenor, and a new k&n air filter to replace the stock dirty one,and this chip.

my ? is does this chip make my temp go down an turn on the fan earlier,
b/c i have notice the fan coming on about 2 marks above the 100 which i think is 140 if im right? and the temp goes from 100 - 260 , and before i put this chip in the temp used to go to about 200-220 before fan coming on .....

but you guys tell me what you think about this chip thing
thanx for helping out...
